Yes. The visit, delivery and setup cost nothing. The only thing on your card is a $25 hold that's released when the consultant arrives.

Handheld massagers, massage pads that sit on your own chair or bed, full massage chairs, and therapy beds. Many people start small with a handheld or a pad and ask to see a chair or bed at the same visit.

How long does it take?

Usually about an hour. Twenty minutes is setup and explanation, the rest is you trying it. You're welcome to keep going if you'd like.

Will I be pressured to buy?

No. Consultants are asked to demonstrate, answer questions and leave. If anyone pushes you, tell us and they won't get another booking through us.

Can I have someone with me?

Please do. A family member, a friend, a neighbour — whoever you like.

What if I live in a unit or have stairs?

Mention it in the notes when booking. Most equipment fits through standard doors and consultants handle stairs routinely.

Who exactly is coming to my house?

An accredited consultant from a registered Australian supplier. You'll get their name and company by email the day before.

Are consultants checked?

Suppliers must confirm each consultant holds a current national police check before they can take bookings.

Which brands will I see?

That depends on the supplier who claims your area. Suppliers on HomeTrials sell established Australian-supported products with local warranty and service.

What if I need to cancel?

Use the change-or-cancel link in your confirmation email, or reply to it. With 24 hours' notice there's no charge at all.

Can I book for a parent or relative?

Yes. Enter their address and put your own phone number as the contact so we can reach you.

Does it work with NDIS or aged care funding?

Some products may be eligible depending on your plan. The consultant can explain what applies — we don't give funding advice ourselves.

What do you do with my details?

They go to the one supplier who confirms your visit, and nowhere else. See our privacy policy.

Why we place a $25 hold, and when it is released

Short answer: The $25 is a card hold, not a payment. It confirms someone will be home when a consultant drives out with equipment. It is released automatically when the consultant arrives, or immediately if you cancel with at least 24 hours' notice. It is only ever captured for a no-show with no notice at all.

Why it exists

A consultant may drive two hours with a chair in the van. When nobody is home, that afternoon is wasted and the cost lands on everyone else. The hold is the lightest way we found to confirm you will be there.

Released when

The consultant arrives. Same day, automatic.
You cancel or reschedule with 24 hours' notice, using the link in any of our emails. Immediate.
The supplier cancels for any reason. Immediate.

Captured when

Nobody is home at the booked time and we have heard nothing. That is the only case.

Card security

Card details go straight into Stripe. HomeTrials never sees or stores your card number.

Questions people ask

Does the $25 leave my account?

No. Your bank marks it as pending. It is the same thing hotels and petrol stations do. It disappears from your statement once released; some banks take a few days to update the display.

What if there is a genuine emergency on the day?

How does it appear on my statement?

As HOMETRIALS, $25.00, marked pending.
